Aston, PA - The Montclair State baseball team jumped out to an early 6-0 lead however the Red Hawks couldn't hold on to the advantage as Neumann University came back for a 13-9 win on Tuesday afternoon.
Senior 
KEITH MURPHY was 3-for-5 with three RBI while 
KYLE MISSRY drove in a pair of runs for MSU, which fell to14-15 on the season. Jonathan DelValle drove in three runs for the Knights (16-14).
Montclair jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in th first inning. 
DOM LAMPASONA doubled home 
RYAN LONG with the first run and then scored as Murphy smacked a single back through the middle for a two-run lead. An error allowed the third run to score before 
AARON KANE singled through the left side scoring Murphy.
KEVIN ALONSO extended the lead to five runs on a ground out in the second and Murphy doubled in Lampasona giving the Red Hawks the 6-0 advantage.
Neumann cut into the lead using the long ball as the Knights clubbed a two-run homer in both the second and third innings with DelValle adding an RBI single in the third making the score 6-5. Montclair countered in the fourth on an RBI double by Murphy and two-run single by MIssry to restore its lead to 9-5.
But the Knights would tally the final eight runs scoring once in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings before exploding for five runs in the seventh.
Grant Wallace (2-1) got the victory in relief as he tossed four innings of one-hit ball with four strikeouts. 
ANTHONY DEBLASIO (1-1) took the loss for the Red Hawks.
Lampasona had two hits for MSU, which collected 14 in the game.
Montclair State returns to action on Thursday, April 21 with the first of a home-and-home with New Jersey City University. The Red Hawks host the Gothic Knights at Yogi Berra Stadium beginning at 3:30 pm. MSU heads to Jersey City and the Thomas M. Gerrity Complex the following day.
