ZACH SCHRECK scored four goals and picked up a pair of assists as Montclair State won its third straight beating Kean University, 14-7 at Alumni Stadium on Wednesday evening.

BRETT MANGAN each added two goals and two assists as the Red Hawks moved past the .500 mark for the first time this season at 7-6 while improving to 3-0 in the Skyline.
Finn gave Montclair State a 1-0 lead 62 seconds into the game with an unassisted tally which would be the lone goal in the contest for the next 10 minutes until the Cougars' Brian Mills scored with 3:30 to play. Mangan put the Red Hawks back on top a little over a minute later sparking a three goal run by MSU that bridged the two quarters. Leading 2-1, Schreck scored two in a row, including a man-up goal with 8:37 to go in the second making the score 4-1.
Kean answered with two goals in a one-minute span pulling within 4-3 on Mike Snellen's goal with 5:12 to go before halftime.
COREY CARLSON, who finished with three assists, set up
CONNOR CUNNINGHAM with 3:35 left as Montclair led 5-3 at the break.
The Red Hawks came out flying in the second half with three goals in the first 1:48 of the period. Schreck got the hat trick less than a minute in and two man-up goals by
BRADY WULSTER in a span of 25 seconds increased the lead to 8-3. Kean drew within 9-6 late in the third however Schreck's fourth with 1:25 remaining gave Montclair a 10-6 lead heading into the final period.
MSU would put the game away with the first three goals of the fourth. Mangan scored with 13 minutes left with Schreck feeding
DYLAN HENINGBURG with 10:19 showing for a 12-6 advantage. Finn and Heningburg each scored in between Kean's last goal for the final margin.
Wulster and Cunningham each registered an assist for the Red Hawks.
LUCAS JONES stopped six shots with
RYAN YOUNG leading the team with six ground balls.
STEVE DANYLUK,
RYAN ANZALONE and Schreck all forced two turnovers apiece.
Montclair State returns to action on Saturday, April 23 with another Skyline Conference contest. The Red Hawks host the Knights of Mount St. Mary at 12:00 pm.
