Montclair, NJ – Sophomore forward Ryan Campbell netted a hat trick, including the game-winner in overtime as Ramapo College upended Montclair State 4-3 in the NJAC opener for both teams at MSU Soccer Park on Saturday evening.
Jorge Castro also scored a goal as the Roadrunners remained unbeaten on the year at 6-0 (1-0 NJAC) in addition to snapping a five-match losing streak to MSU.

LUCAS TERCI scored twice and assisted on the other goal for the Red Hawks (6-2, 0-1 NJAC), who had their four-match winning streak halted.
Terci gave Montclair a 1-0 lead a second shy of the four-minute mark as he converted a penalty kick for his 10
th goal of the season. Campbell tied the game in the 20
th minute and then gave the Roadrunners the lead with 13:56 to play before halftime.
MIKE TARANTO knotted the game at 2-2 five minutes into the second half finishing off a feed from Terci. It was the 38
th career assist for Terci as he passed John Rubinetti (1988-91) for the all-time lead. The lasted just five minutes as Jorge Castro blasted in a shot from the top of the box after Montclair failed to clear the ball out.
Leading by a goal at the 71-minute mark, Ramapo was whistled for handball in the box. Terci buried his second PK of the evening for the third tie of the evening.
Each team would get their chances however it would be in the extra period where the game would be decided. With the teams bunched on the left side, Justin Olaya managed to push the ball across the field where Campbell was able to corral it before flipping a shot inside the right post for the game winner.
Ryan Sprague had six saves for Ramapo while
MIKE SAALFRANK stopped one for the Red Hawks.
MSU outshot the Roadrunners 22-12 and had a 7-5 advantage in corner kicks.
Montclair State returns to action on Monday, September 19 taking on Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA at 7:30 pm.
