Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State volleyball team ran its winning streak to seven matches after the Red Hawks swept past Brooklyn College and College of New Rochelle at the Panzer Athletic Center on Saturday.
Montclair (12-2) posted a hitting percentage of .342 as they cruised past the Bulldogs (3-11) by scores of 25-8, 25-10, 25-7. Senior
MELISSA TERPSTRA had 10 kills while freshman
CAITLIN LANGE added eight.
ASHLEY GRIFFITH had 12 assists with
KIMBERLY MATLOCK and
APRIL DIANGELO getting five along with three kills.
LILY SCANZILLO recorded 11 digs with
SCHYLER WHITE registering six.
The Red Hawks' solid hitting day continued in the match with New Rochelle (4-7) as it topped the Blue Angels 25-21, 25-18 and 25-14.
HAYLEY MERRILL hit .500 with 14 kills as Montclair State posted an efficiency of .346 for the match.
MADISON MAUTE had eight kills with
COURTNEY MATLOCK and
NATALIA MAJKUT chipping in with seven and six, respectively. Griffith put up 36 assists and a pair of service aces. Merrill led with 11 digs while
DANIELLE OLCESE had 10.
Montclair heads to Camden, NJ on Tuesday, September 27 facing Rutgers-Camden in an NJAC matchup at 7:00 pm.
