Montclair, NJ - The Montclair State men's soccer team lhad its six-game winning streak snapped as No. 11 Rowan scored the final two goals in a 3-2 victory on Saturday evening.

Freshman CHAZ BURNETT's header gave the Red Hawks (9-4-1, 3-2 NJAC) an early off of JAKE SEAMAN's corner kick in the 38'. Burnett has now recorded team high nine goals to go along with three assists.

Rowan (12-2, 4-0 NJAC), which came into the game leading the nation in scoring with 51 goals were held scoreless in the first-half, however the Profs would later return to their scoring ways in the second when Modou Sowe headed in a Tyler Logar cross in the 49' to equalize the game at 1-1.

The Red Hawks regained the lead a minute later (50') when senior MIKE TARANTO connected on a free kick just outside of the 18 yard box for his  ninth goal. Rowan leveled the score 17 seconds later on Ryan Campbell's diving header from Shane Doherty and Logar's combination assist.

Doherty continued his terrific display when he netted the game-winner in the  74th minute.

MIKE SAALFRANK finished with 12 saves for the Red Hawks.

Montclair State returns home to face William Paterson on Wednesday October 11, at 7:00 PM.
