Montclair, NJ – Sophomore
MATT HAEMMERLE had a hand in 11 of Montclair State's 18 goals as the Red Hawks continued their resurgence of late posting its fifth straight victory in an 18-4 triumph over Mount St. Vincent at Sprague Field on Saturday.
Haemmerle scored four goals and added seven assists while
BRADY WULSTER added four goals as Montclair moved within a game of .500 mark at 5-6 overall while remaining unbeaten in the Skyline Conference at 5-0.
MSU tallied all six goals in the first quarter, the first three set up by Haemmerle who fed
COREY CARLSON for the game's first goal 53 seconds in.
SKYLER FRANCISCO and
JAMES CLARKE connected 48 seconds apart for a 3-0 lead with 9:24 remaining in the opening period.
Haemmerle go one of his own with 4:41 left and then set up Wulster for a five-goal advantage. Haemmerle added his second with 51 ticks before the first horn as MSU led 6-0.
JON RICE made it seven straight finishing off a feed from Wulster 39 seconds into the second period. Mount St. Vincent (1-8, 0-6 Skyline) scored three of the final four goals in the quarter as Montclair went into the break in front 8-3.
Wulster registered the first two goals of the second half before the Dolphin's Michael Puchalski answered for CMSV near the midpoint of the third. Haemmerle ignited a game-ending eight goal run by Montclair which led 13-4 after three.

Senior
BLASE MANTINEO tied an MSU single-game record with 13 ground balls as he went 16-of-17 at the "X". Junior
MATT AXMANN was 6-of-9 as MSU won 22 of the 26 faceoffs contested.
AARON LOSCHIAVO forced three turnovers with Haemmerle and
RYAN YOUNG each recording two.
LUCAS JONES stopped seven shots.
The Red Hawks are back in action on Wednesday, April 12 hosting local and conference rival Kean University at Sprague Field. Game time is set for 7:00 pm.
