Mulligan, Burnett leads Red Hawks past the Dolphins

Montclair, NJ - Men's soccer got back on track on Monday night against the College of  Mount St. Vincent with the final score being 6-0 after dropping their first conference game over the weekend versus Ramapo College.

The Red Hawks got off to a flying start during the first-half against the Dolphins, scoring three goals. MSU's first two goals ('15, '26) were bullet headers by defensive duos, JORGE DE LA BANDERA and DAMIAN KOLODZIEJ from midfielder COLIN MULLIGANs terrific deliveries.

Forward CHAZ BURNETT then fed his fellow freshman GUISEPPE MARGIOTTIELLO an excellent thru ball, who took it around the keeper for an easy finish to make it 3-0. The home side took their chances early and often to punish the visiting squad with three goals on six shots in the first-half.

Much like the first period,  MSU overpowered Mount St. Vincent in the second period, netting three more. Burnett, who was active all game, supplied another superb thru ball to junior RAFAEL TERCI who made it 4-0 ('64) and the game out of reach.

Burnett also scored in the '74, giving him one goal and two assists on the night., while sophomore DEVAUGHN FOSTER found the back of the net for the Red Hawks last goal in the '90.

Todd Tumelty's team were the superior side throughout game and out shot their opponent 22-5, with 11 being on target.
