Beverly, MA – Endicott College's Dario Neukom scored with 6:38 remaining in regulation lifting the Gulls to a 2-1 victory over Montclair State on Sunday afternoon.
Jesse Martinez added a goal for the hosts, who improved to 1-0-1 on the year. The Red Hawks, winners in their opener on Friday, fell to 1-1.
Endicott grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 16
th minute as Martinez scored his first goal of the season. Martinez picked up a loose ball in scrum and broke away before firing a shot into the lower left corner for the game's first score.

The defenses took over from that point with neither team getting many chances. MSU's
MIKE SAALFRANK stopped a pair of shots and Endicott keeper Will Manuel saved a shot from Neto at the 79:15 mark.

th minute, Evan Couchot booted a cross just out of the reach of Saalfrank and onto the foot of Neukom, who one-touched the pass into the center of the net for the 2-1 advantage.
Saalfrank finished with three saves for the Red Hawks, who were outshot in the game 18-12. MSU held the advantage in corner kicks, 6-5.
Montclair State continues its season-opening road trip on Wednesday, September 6 when it travel to Hunter College for a 5:00 pm matchup with the Hawks.
