KAITLYN PRESTINARI scored on a penalty stroke 50 seconds into the second overtime as No. 5 Montclair State slipped past Stockton University, 1-0 in its NJAC opener on Saturday afternoon.

AMBER HASLETT notched her 10
th goal of the season as the Red Hawks remained unbeaten at 11-0, which now includes four overtime victories.
Each team had three shots in the first period and it was Haslett scoring on first shot of the game, a reverse chip past Osprey keeper Emily Sorochynskyj at the 8:35 mark. The Ospreys would even the score with just under five minutes remaining. Britney Stein got the goal tapping in a shot off a scrum in near the cage.
That 1-1 held up through the next 35 minutes and through the first 15-minute overtime period. MSU took seven of the nine shots in the first OT and came close to winning the contest in the 76
th minute.
KAITLYN STRUSS fired a shot that was knocked away by Alexa Massa on a defensive save as the contest moved into the second OT.
Prestinari ended things quickly scoring on the penalty stroke, her second successful conversion this season.
KAITLIN MAGUIRE made three saves for the Red Hawks.
Montclair State returns to action on Wednesday, October 4 when it hosts local and conference rival William Paterson at Sprague Field beginning at 7:00 pm.
