Montclair, NJ - The Montclair State women's soccer picked up its fourth straight victory on Saturday, beating conference foe Stockton University 1-0 as forward
EMILY BEENDERS scored the game's lone goal in the 53rd minute.
Montclair State improved to 6-3-2 on the season while remaining unbeaten in NJAC play at 4-0. Stockton fell to 3-7-1 on the season, 0-4 in conference play.
The Red Hawks outshot Stockton 7-0 in the first half but couldn't get one into the back of the net. After the scoreless first period, Beenders, the team's leading scorer, recorded what proved to be the game-winning goal knocking in a pass from
CASSIDY MAZZONE.
The Ospreys managed to get three shots with two on target in the second-half, however both were stopped
PHOEBE BLEDSOE, who registered her third shutout of the season.
Montclair State now has the week off and returns to MSU Soccer Park on Saturday, October 7, hosting Rowan University at 1:00 pmm.
