MATT HAEMMERLE scored seven times and added two assists as Montclair State won its second straight contest, knocking off Catholic University 14-3 on Saturday afternoon.

Haemmerle registered the third nine-point outing of his MSU career and became the first Red Hawk to score seven goals in a goal since Zach Schreck against Farmingdale State in April 2015. He led a four-goal run to open the game netting the first and last goal, the final one coming 1:54 into the second quarter.
The Cardinals (7-6) snapped the run two minutes later however Harmmerle finished off an
ERIC D'ARMINIO feed with 9:43 to play and scored twice more extending the Montclair advantage to 7-2 with 5:30 to play before halftime. Papa had the final goal of the second as MSU led by six.
Catholic's Liam Clancy opened the second half with a goal however the remainder of the scoring belonged to the Red Hawks, who tallied three goals each in the third and fourth quarters.
Montclair State is back in action on Wednesday, April 18 with another road contest. The Red Hawks will be in Glenside, PA for a 7:00 pm matchup at Arcadia University.
