Union, NJ – The Montclair State volleyball team dropped its NJAC opener on Tuesday evening as the Red Hawks fell in four sets to defending conference champion Kean University at Harwood Arena.
The Cougars (6-3, 1-0 NJAC) took the first two sets from MSU 25-21 and 25-12 before the Red Hawks claimed the third 25-15. Kean wrapped up the match with a 25-22 victory in the fourth.

JILLIAN WILSON had a solid night on the attack for Montclair State with seven kills and a .389 hitting percentage. She also recorded six digs and two blocks. Freshman
CARLY WATERMAN led the Red Hawks with 10 kills and had a double-double performance collecting 14 digs.

Montclair State returns to action on Saturday, September 15 with a home tri-match. The Red Hawks will face Lycoming at 11:00 am and wrap up the action at 3:00 pm against in-state rival FDU-Florham.
