Montclair, NJ – Senior linebacker MAURO ALTAMURA earned another honor for his outstanding effort last week as he was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware.

Altamura becomes the 31^st Red Hawk to be named to the squad since its inception in 1999 and the 10^th linebacker. He is the first linebacker to be selected since Adnan Sakiri in 2013.

Altamura, the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week, registered 14 total tackles, including 12 solo stops and 3.0 tackles for a loss. He also tallied a sack and a fumble recovery in a defensive effort which saw MSU hold the Knights scoreless in the final three quarters. Altamura, who finished one tackle shy of his career best, currently ranks second in the NJAC in tackles (11.5 per game).
