AMBER HASLETT scored the lone goal as No. 9 Montclair State posted its second straight victory with a 1-0 victory over in-state rival FDU-Florham on Monday evening at Sprague Field.

NICOLE ANDRIANI stopped five shots for her fourth shutout of the season as the Red Hawks improved to 9-1 on the season while upping its record against the Devils (8-2) to 16-11-1 with its 13
th consecutive win in the series.
Defense ruled the contest for the first 20-plus minute before the Red Hawks broke through.
KELLY WATSON inserted a penalty corner to Haslett who played a give-and-go with
KAILEY DALGAUER with the former batting in a ball from five yards out for her fifth goal of the year.
FDU-Florham would get several opportunities to tie the game inside the final six minutes however Andriani kept the ball out of the cage. She stopped Cassidy Santorelli at the 27:51 mark and then saved back-to-back attempts against Marissa Colvin and Riley Mullan with six minutes remaining before halftime.
Andriani would make to more saves in the second half, the first coming against Makayla Pak with 6:31 left and the second also against Pak with a little more than two minutes to play.
The Red Hawks are back in action on Friday, September 28 on the road in Allentown, PA against Muhlenberg College. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
