Montclair, NJ – Junior forward Jordan Taylor drained a three-pointer at the buzzer lifting Stockton University to a 66-63 victory over Montclair State at the Panzer Athletic Center on Saturday.
Taylor finished with 18 points as the Ospreys recovered after squandering an 18-point lead to improve to 7-9 overall, 5-4 in conference play. Junior forward Steve Ferebee led all scorers with 21 points with Kadian Dawkins adding 11 off the bench.

AKBAR HOFFMAN led four players in double figures for the Red Hawks (11-5, 6-3 NJAC), who tied the game with 23 seconds remaining.
EDDIE EMEDOH had 13 points as Montclair put four players in double figures.
The Taylor triple capped off a wild comeback from MSU, which trailed 50-32 early in the second half and were behind by 11 with 4:53 to go.
JALEN PARHAM hit two free throws to get the lead under double digits and a three-pointer by
IRVING CALLENDER IV trimmed the deficit to 61-55. Dawkins connected twice from the line with Emedoh hitting once making the score 63-56 with 3:13 to play.
Montclair State then went on a 7-0 run starting with two foul shots by Parham and two more from Emeodh brought the Red Hawks within 63-60 with 1:05 left. Stockton would miss on its next possession which gave MSU a chance to tie the game. Following a time out with 27 seconds, Hoffman got the ball at the top of the key and buried a three with a hand in his face knotting the game at 63-63.
The Ospreys brought the ball up across halfcourt and called timeout with 12 seconds remaining. Off the stoppage, Brandon Hamilton drove the lane from the left side before flipping a pass to Taylor on the right wing. Taylor launched his shot which ripped through the net as the buzzer sounded giving Stockton the victory.
Emeodh grabbed six rebounds for Montclair, which got 11 points and eight rebounds from Callender.
JORDAN ROBERSON contributed six points and seven boards.
The Red Hawks go on the road to begin the second half of the NJAC schedule, taking on local rival William Paterson on Wednesday, January 16 in Wayne, NJ at 8:00 pm. Montclair State won the first meeting between the teams at home in November, 63-61.
