Men's Soccer Plays to 1-1 Draw at Ramapo

Soglo Scores lone Red Hawk Goal

Mahwah, NJ - The Montclair State men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw against Ramapo on Saturday afternoon. Senior NIXON SOGLO scored the lone goal for the Red Hawks (10-4-1, 2-2-1).

Ramapo (7-1-5, 2-1-2) got on the board first as Joseph Fala converted on a penalty kick in the sixth minute to give the Road Runenrs the early lead. 

MSU would answer just over two minutes later when NIXON SOGLO would net his fifth goal of the year. This was the first conference goal for Soglo this season.

Both defenses turned up the physicality and allowed 0 goals over the remainder of the contest. Each team picked up 16 fouls in the draw. 

The Roadrunners outshot the Red Hawks 15-11 in the match as MICHAEL MEJIA registered four saves in the game. Ramapo limited MSU to only one shot in the overtime periods but was unable to convert on its five opportunities.

Montclair State travels to Jersey City for an NJAC contest versus NJCU on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
