Montclair, NJ – Montclair State swept past Ramapo 3-0 in NJAC action at the Panzer Athletic Center on Tuesday night.

CARLY WATERMAN led the Red Hawks with 14 and 11 kills respectively.

MEGAN O'ROURKE registered a double-double with 34 assists and 12 digs as MSU (14-4, 3-2 NJAC) upended Ramapo (9-2, 2-2) by the scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-16. The Red Hawks snapped another winning streak on Tuesday, ending the Roadrunners five-match winning streak with the win.
MSU scored 10 of the first 11 points of the match, forcing Ramapo in a 10-1 hole to start the game. The Roadrunners would trim the lead to 17-11 in the first set before three straight kills gave Red Hawks the cushion to pull out the first set, 25-15.
Montclair State pulled away in the second and third sets to sweep their conference foe. With the second set tied at 20, Montclair went on a 5-0 run to close out the set. MSU ended the match with seven straight points to secure the three-set victory.
Waterman tallied four consecutive aces in the final set to give Montclair the win.
MSU outhit the Roadrunners .216 to .073 while tallying nine service aces. MSU has held two straight opponents to a hitting percentage below the .100 mark.
The Red Hawks hit the road for non-conference action on Thursday to square off against NYU at 7 p.m.
