ERIN CAMPBELL scored with four minutes remaining in the second overtime period as Montclair State edged SUNY Geneseo, 14-13 on Sunday afternoon.

CHELSEA ORBAN scored five goals with
MEGAN MAHLSTADT and
KYLE GRAVER each registering two goals and two assists as the Red Hawks (5-4) earned a split of their Upstate New York weekend. Hannah Marafioti scored five times for the Knights (3-3).
MSU used a five-goal run in the first half to take a 6-3 lead with 6:22 remaining on Graver's goal. Geneseo answered with three of their own to tie the game before a goal by
JESSICA ANDREULA with four seconds to play sent Montclair into halftime up 7-6.
The Knights scored the first two goals of the second half to take the lead however Montclair tallied the next four to move back in front. Orban had the first with Mahlstadt scoring a minute later for a 9-8 lead.
AMBER GONZALEZ collected a goal with 22:56 left giving the Red Hawks a two-goal advantage. Orban's fifth goal with 15 minutes to play made the score 12-9 before Geneseo cut that to a goal with just under 11 minutes.
Graver found the back of the net with 9:43 remaining making the score 13-11 but the Knights' Maddie Lee connected 28 seconds later and Marafioti scored with 7:31 to go knotting the game at 13-13. Geneso would get two chances to go ahead however MSU keeper
ALLYN LILIEN stopped a pair of free-position attempts. The Knights would get the last possession of the period with 40 seconds and nearly pulled out a last-second victory however Marafioti's shot with two seconds left clanged off the post.
Lilien came up big again in the first overtime period making another save off a free-position attempt in the first 45 seconds. Back the other way came Montclair which nearly won the game however Orban's shot hit the post. The unlucky trend continued with 2:17 remaining as Geneseo's Jacqui Thorsen hit the post. Lilien made one final save in the first OT, denying Marafioti with 1:12 to go.
Geneseo's Maddie Lee got the opening draw of the second overtime however the Knights turned it over a minute later.
MEGHAN GORMAN scooped up the ground ball giving possession to the Red Hawks who capitalized on the opportunity as Campbell got the game-winner with 4:12 left.
Lilien made eight saves over the final 37:48 of the game.
AMANDA MAGUIRE stopped three during the first half.
LEANNE MCCLOSKEY recorded five draws with
SYDNEE SAPP pulling in four. Andreula led MSU with seven ground balls.
Montclair State returns to action on Wednesday, March 27. The Red Hawks host 10
th-ranked Colby College at Sprague Field beginning at 3:00 pm.
