CHELSEA ORBAN scored four goals while classmate
KYLE GRAVER added three as Montclair State rolled to its second straight victory with a 19-3 triumph over Rutgers-Camden at Sprague Field on Saturday afternoon.
Junior
MEGAN MAHLSTADT tallied a pair of goals along with six assists as MSU scored 10 times in the first 10 minutes to improve to 8-6 overall, 2-1 in the NJAC. Carly Gregg tallied twice for the Scarlet Raptors (4-6, 0-2 NJAC).
The Red Hawks scored three times in a 46-second span. Graver scored with 28:48 left with Orban getting her first 18 seconds later.
SYDNEE SAPP finished off the mini-run with her 23
rd goals as MSU led 3-0. Graver collected her second with 27:16 to go with Orban and
JESSICA ANDREULA tacking on scores for a 6-0 advantage.
Mahlstadt fed
BRITTANY COSTIGAN for a goal with 23:44 remaining before getting one of her own a minute later pushing the lead to 8-0. Mahlstadt's goal capped the opening run with 20:01 left.
JULIA MALTAGLIATI gave the Red Hawks an 11-0 with a
CASEY PROVOST goal with 9:26 to go making it a 12-goal advantage.
Gregg snapped Montclair's run with 4:11 to play however
MICHAELAH REYNOLDS scored ahead of the halftime horn sending MSU into the break up 13-1.
Costigan finished with 14 draws, her sixth contest with 10 or more this season. The sophomore has 114 on the season, seven shy of her single-season record set last season. Goalkeepers
AMANDA MAGUIRE and
ALLYN LILIEN had three and two saves, respectively.
Montclair State is now off until Saturday, April 20 when it hosts Rowan University at 12:00 pm.
