PETER COSENTINO lofted a sacrifice fly with one out in the bottom of the ninth lifting the Red Hawks to a 5-4 victory over FDU-Florham at Yogi Berra Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
MSU (10-8) posted their second straight walk-off victory and third of the season as it won its second straight contest. Catcher
BRAD EDWARDS finished 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI. Nate Peacock had two hits and three runs batted in for the Devils (8-13).
Knotted at 4-4 heading into the bottom of the ninth, Dominick Leuizzi fouled off a pair of two-strike pitches before doubling up the gap in left center placing the winning run in scoring position.
DANIEL CLEMENTE followed with a single putting runners at the corners. Clemente stole second before reliever Will Lapham got a pop up for the first out. FDU-Florham intentionally walked
CHRISTOPHER WALKER loading the bases. Cosentino came up to pinch-hit and after fouling off the first pitch, lifted a ball to right field scoring Leuizzi with the game-winning run.
That made a winner out of reliever
JUSTIN SILVA, who struck out six of the eight batters he faced over 2 2/3 innings of work.
MATT PICKUS went the first 5 2/3 innings allowing five hits and four runs (three earned). He fanned five and walked two.
Edwards gave Montclair a 1-0 lead in the second with an RBI double however Peacock drove in two in the fourth with a double giving the Devils a 2-1 advantage. Edwards tied the game in the fourth with a fielder's choice and the Red Hawks regained the lead in the fifth on RBIs by Clemente and Walker. FDU-Florham deadlocked the game in the sixth inning with two runs. Peacock had the first with an RBI singled with the second run coming home on an error.

HAYDEN REYES each collecting two hits to pace the Red Hawks offensive attack.
Montclair State is back in action on Thursday, April 4 when it gets back into New Jersey Athletic Conference play. The Red Hawks host The College of New Jersey at 3:30 pm in the first game of a home-and-home with the Lions.
