Haverford, PA – Arcadia University scored four unanswered goals, erasing an early one-goal deficit in a 4-1 victory over Montclair State in the Haverford Kickoff Classic championship game on Sunday.
Megan Mannato tallied twice as the Knights (2-0) captured the first of two consecutive meetings between the teams. The two are set to square off again on Friday, September 6 in Glenside, PA.

EMILY BEENDERS collected the lone goal for MSU (0-1-1), which was seeking its third Kickoff Classic title having won the tournament in 2011 and 2016.
Beenders gave the Red Hawks the lead five minutes into game as she fired in a shot from 15 yards out into the upper right corner for the first score of the game. Gabby D'Emlio and
KYLINN KRAEMER helped set up the goal.
Arcadia knotted the game in the 33
rd minute as Bridget Sway converted a penalty kick. The Knights moved in front with 3:41 remaining before half as Mannato connected from inside the 6 for the first of her two goals. The Knights increased the lead to 3-1 at the 52:47 mark. Riley Nyhus set up Emily Readinger for the score. Mannato found the back of the net in the 79
th minute for the final Arcadia score.
Brianna Williams stopped three shots for Arcadia while Montclair's
LINDSAY FREEWALT registered six saves.
