JA'QUILL BURCH was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week. Burch is the first Red Hawks to claim the award since John DiStefano in Week 4 of the 2016 campaign.
Burch earns NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Red Hawks to a 28-11 non-conference road win at Salve Regina. In MSU's first victory of the season, he completed 12-of-25 passes for 292 yards and three passing touchdowns. With scoring strikes of 47, 80, and 44 yards apiece, he has now thrown for three or more TDs in each of the first two games this season and eight times overall in his collegiate career.
Burch currently leads the NJAC in passing yards per game (327.5).
