Madison, NJ – FDU-Florham's Marissa Colvin knocked in a shot off a penalty corner with just under four minutes in the third quarter lifting the Devils to a 2-1 victory over No. 11 Montclair State on Wednesday evening.
Haleigh Flukey added a goal for the Devils (7-2), who snapped a 14-game losing streak against their in-state rivals. FDU-Florham's last victory came on October 12, 1999, a 3-1 victory in Madison.

The Devils nearly got on the board within the first five minutes of the contest. Flukey put a shot on cage that was swept away by defender Janel Harden. Goalkeeper
NICOLE ANDRIANI followed that up with a save against Marissa Colvin keeping the game scoreless.
Flukey snapped the 0-0 tie with 4:50 to play in the first half with her 13
th goal of the year. Sydney Moskal picked up the assist as FDU-Florham led 1-0 at the half. Montclair would tie the game up four minutes into the third on Vizzuso's third goal. Cimilluca put forth a shot off a turn-around move with Vizzuso tipping in the attempt for the tie.
The Devils answered as Colvin banged in her fifth goal of the year off an assist by Ariana Wexler.
KEELEY WINN would get off a shot late in the period however Megan March turned that aside. That would be the last attempt MSU would get as FDU did not surrender a shot in the final 15 minutes.
Andriani finished with six saves for Montclair State, which was outshot in the game 11-3.
The Red Hawks return to action on Saturday, September 28 with a neutral site contest in Manheim, PA. Montclair State takes on Washington & Lee University at the Spooky Nook Complex beginning at 2:00 pm. It will be the first meeting between the schools since the opening round of the 2005 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship.
