CARLY WATERMAN posted 29 kills, five aces and nine digs as Montclair State extended its winning streak to seven with victories over Baruch College and St. Joseph's (LI) on Saturday afternoon.
Senior
JILLIAN WILSON added 12 kills and sophomore
LEAH HIGGINS 10 as the Red Hawks (12-3) swept past Baruch in three sets (25-10, 25-17, 25-21) before knocking off the host Golden Eagles in four (25-16, 23-25, 25-8, 25-21).
Waterman hit .500 committing just one error in 20 attempts as she posted 11 kills and four digs. Wilson added eight while senior
SCHYLER WHITE chipped in with six along with eight digs.
GIANNA ARIAS and
CARLIN JANNSCH recorded four kills apiece as MSU saw 11 different players with a kill. Junior
MEGAN O'ROURKE totaled 29 assists with libero
MADDIE VALKO totaling a team-best 14 digs.
SIYARA HERBERT chipped in with 13 digs.
Waterman led with 12 kills, four aces and five digs. Higgins and
CAITLIN LANGE recorded nine and eight respectively with
VICTORIA TENNON posting six. Valko had a season-high 26 assists and four aces with Herbert adding 14. O'Rourke put up 30 assists and three digs.
Montclair State is back in action on Tuesday, October 1 with a road NJAC contest. The Red Hawks will be in Glassboro, NJ for a 7:00 pm matchup with Rowan University.
