SCOUTING TCNJ
The Lions (8-0-0, 3-0-0 NJAC) are coming off a 3-1 victory over Rowan on Wednesday. In the game, the Lions surrendered their first goal of the season, snapping a streak of 670:56 minutes without giving up a goal to open the year. TCNJ is outshooting their opponents 224-30 and has only allowed nine shots on target all year.
LAST MEETING
The Lions and Red Hawks met for the 2019 NJAC Championship, and it was the host Lions who escaped with a 3-2 victory. TCNJ opened the game with two goals in the first 21 minutes, but Emily Beenders and Tori Rolls tallied second-half goals to force overtime. TCNJ was awarded a penalty kick in the second extra session, and Amelia Curtis converted to give TCNJ the Championship Game victory.
SERIES HISTORY
Montclair 5-32-5 all-time against TCNJ, but gained either a win or draw in five straight games from September 22, 2012, through November 8, 2014. Montclair won three matches during that stretch while the other two went to penalty kicks, with each side gaining a win.
