Women's Soccer: Gameday Preview vs. Rutgers-Newark

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State women's soccer team visits Rutgers-Newark in the regular-season finale Wednesday.

A victory against the Scarlet Raiders would give Montclair State the No. 2 seed in next week's New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (11-4, 6-2 NJAC) downed Rowan University 2-1 Saturday afternoon. AILEEN CAHILL opened the scoring in the 15th minute before CATHERINE CARNEVALE headed in the game-winner in the 52nd minute. The biggest play of the game came in the 19th minute, as HALEY MARTIN denied a penalty kick to preserve the 1-0 lead at the time.

AWARD SEASON
Martin tallied a career-high six saves against Rowan to gain NJAC Defensive Player of the Week, while EMMI DENOVELLIS repeated as the NJAC Rookie of the Week after assisting on Carnevale's winner.
