Montclair, NJ - The New Jersey Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament is coming to the Panzer Athletic Center.
The Montclair State men's and women's teams will each host quarterfinal action when the tournament begins on Friday, March 5. Seeded No. 3, the men will take on local rival and sixth-seeded William Paterson at 4:00 pm with the top-seeded women's squad meeting No. 8 seed Rutgers-Camden at 7:00 pm.
You can follow all the action with live video on the Red Hawk Sports Network YouTube Channel, as well as live stats on montclairathletics.com.
Both teams closed out their regular seasons on Saturday. The women completed a 6-0 league slate finishing unbeaten along with The College of New Jersey. The Red Hawks won the tie-breaking coin flip to earn the No. 1 seed. Meanwhile, the men posted a 5-3 mark and will return to the NJAC Tournament after missing out a year ago.
Each team will be looking to advance to the semifinals which are slated for Friday, March 12 at the site of the higher seed. A win by the women would match them against the winner of the Kean/Rutgers-Newark contest at home. The men, who are looking to knock off William Paterson for the third time this season, would take on the winner between second-seeded New Jersey City and eighth-seeded Rutgers-Camden.
