Goss & Martin Receive CSC Academic All-District Honors

Montclair, NJ- Announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization on Tuesday afternoon, Montclair State University sophomores KABRIEN GOSS and ANDREW MARTIN both received recognition as Academic All-District Honorees for their performances on the court and in the classroom

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

In order to be eligible for the Academic All-District team, a student-athlete must have a sophomore or higher class standing, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and have either played in 90% of games or started 66% of them this season.

Goss earns this honor after starting all 28 games and holds a 3.53 cumulative GPA.  An NJAC Player of the Week and D3hoops.com Team of the Week selection, Goss shot .463 from the floor and .450 from three-point range, the 15th-best mark in the nation during the regular season. His 149 assists and 6.0 assists per game ranked 12th in Division III and third in single-season program history. Goss was a key component in Montclair's rise as one of the top teams in the nation this season. This accolade goes along with the Second Team All-NJAC and D3Hoops.com Third Team All-Region 4 honors he received earlier this year.

Martin maintains a 3.58 cumulative GPA as a business administration major and played in all 28 of Montclair's games this season. A key contributor off the bench, he totaled 90 points, 50 rebounds, eight assists, six steals, and a block this year. His highlight performance came in the NJAC title game, where he posted a season-high 11 points on 4-for-4 shooting and added three rebounds.

Montclair concluded its historic season with a 25-3 overall record and a 17-1 mark in NJAC play, winning back-to-back NJAC Regular-Season Championships. The Red Hawks also returned to the NJAC Championship game for the second straight season and hosted an NCAA First and Second Round pod for the second consecutive year.
