Men's Basketball Unveils 2026-27 Schedule

Montclair, NJ - The Montclair State University Men's Basketball program unveiled its 2026-27 schedule on Monday afternoon.

The schedule features 25 games overall, with 18 residing within the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Red Hawks will host 11 games at the Panzer Athletic Center and will take part in two four-team tournaments during their nonconference slate.

Montclair will open the season at the Farmingdale State Tip-Off Tournament, squaring off against the University of Hartford on November 6. They will turn around and face either the hosts, Farmingdale State, or Fitchburg State the following day. The 2026-27 home opener for the Red Hawks will be on Wednesday, November 11, as they will host Cairn before rounding out the month of November with a road tilt against 2025-26 NCAA Tournament qualifier Cortland on November 21.

NJAC play will coincide with the beginning of December, as the Red Hawks will host William Paterson on December 2 before traveling to Kean later in the week on December 5. They will continue on with a trio of league matchups, hosting Rutgers-Newark (December 9) and New Paltz (December 16) along with a NJAC Championship rematch on the road against The College of New Jersey on December 12.

Montclair will close out their nonconference slate over the remainder of the month, hosting Maritime on December 19, and then traveling to the Franklin & Marshall Holiday Tournament on December 29. They will take on the hosts on day one, and will face either Misericordia or Lancaster Bible the following day.

2027 will begin with a home contest against Ramapo on January 6, with the Red Hawks traveling to Stockton (January 9) and Rutgers-Camden (January 13) over the next two games. They'll return home for two of their next three, hosting Rowan (January 16) and Kean (January 23) with a trip to William Paterson in the middle on January 20. The following week, Montclair will head to Rutgers-Newark (January 27) and will host The College of New Jersey on January 30.

February will open with a home tilt against Stockton (February 6) followed by road games at Ramapo (February 10) and Rowan (February 13). The Red Hawks will close out the 2026-27 regular season on Wednesday, February 17 against Rutgers-Camden at home.

The NJAC Tournament will begin on Saturday, February 20, with its Quarterfinal Round, followed by the Semifinals on Tuesday, February 23. The Championship Game will take place on Friday, February 26.

Montclair will look to build off one of the most historic seasons in the program's history, where it ascended to the number one ranking in the nation en route to a 25-3 record, its second consecutive NJAC Regular Season Championship, and its third NCAA Tournament appearance over the last four seasons.
