JANBI KAGHADO knocked in a loose ball inside 10 yards with just over five minutes remaining lifting Montclair State to a 1-0 victory over Stockton in the season opener for both teams on Wednesday evening.

SHANE KEENAN stopped to shots to record as shutout in his MSU debut as the Red Hawks (1-0, 1-0 NJAC). MSU recorded its third straight victory over the Ospreys while running its current unbeaten streak in the series to 11 (9-0-2).
Montclair State outshot Stockton 14-4 in the game, including 5-1 in the first 45 minutes but still found itself in a scoreless contest. Keenan made one of his two four minutes into the period with the Ospreys' Dino Gromitsaris making two in the 61
st and 65
th minute respectively. He would deny Kaghado and
ANTHONY PELAEZ with just under 11 minutes remaining and scooped up a
BRENT LLEWELLYN shot in the 85
th minute.
Off that save the ball was sent out to midfield where Montclair gained possession. Llewellyn drove down the right side before sending the ball into the box where it clipped off a defender's foot. Three players, including two defenders all collided going for the ball which bounced over to Kaghado, who tapped the carom inside the right post for the game's only goal.
MSU finished with a 14-4 advantage in shots and took four of the six corner kicks.
The Red Hawks are back in action on Saturday, March 13 with their home opener. Montclair hosts New Jersey City at MSU Soccer Park beginning at 1:00 pm.
