LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (8-7, 6-4 NJAC) knocked off Kean University 54-39 Wednesday evening. In the third quarter, Montclair led by as many as 15 points, but Kean closed to within six entering the fourth. MSU outscored the Cougars 22-13 in the fourth. JULIA SUTTON scored a game-high 22 points while adding seven rebounds, as KENDALL HODGES scored 10 of her 11 points in the fourth quarter.

SCOUTING THE LIONS
The Lions are 8-7 overall, with a 5-5 mark in the NJAC. They had their two-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday as they fell 89-58 to Rowan University. They had two wins by single digits against Rutgers-Newark and William Paterson.

LAST MEETING
Montclair notched a 60-54 come from behind victory on December 4. After trailing 17-4 after one quarter, the Red Hawks closed out the second on a 13-6 spurt and trailed just 34-32 at the break. Montclair State pulled ahead in the fourth, as NICKIE CARTER scored the final nine points for the Red Hawks. Carter led the way with 29 points on 8-of-13 shooting, as JULIA SUTTON and KENDALL HODGES tallied 11.

SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 52-35 all-time against the Lions. Montclair boasts a 23-15 mark against the Lions at home and has won two straight games after snapping a three-game losing skid. The Red Hawks hold a slim 32-31 record in NJAC conference games.
