Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State field hockey team closes the regular season with a road contest against TCNJ Saturday.

The Red Hawks (10-7, 3-2 NJAC) blanked FDU-Florham 4-0 Wednesday. LINSEY CHAMPA scored twice, while TORI SUTERA handed out two assists. KELLY WESTERVELT and CARLIE VAN TASSEL recorded goals, with LAUREN PICKUL denying three shots in the victory.

Montclair is 10-67-4 all-time against the Lions and has dropped the last three matchups. TCNJ won 38 consecutive meetings from 1981-2000, while Montclair State notched three straight wins from October 6, 2012 – November 9, 2013.

LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks fell 2-1 to then-No. 13 TCNJ 2-1 on October 30, 2021. After the Lions opened the scoring in the second quarter, CARLIE VAN TASSEL leveled the game 33 seconds into the fourth quarter. TCNJ notched the game-winning goal in the 50th minute to claim the 2-1 triumph.
