Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State women's basketball team visits King's College (Pa.) Wednesday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (1-1) suffered their first setback of the season to Ithaca College, falling 72-48 Friday evening. NICKIE CARTER paced the Red Hawks with 13 points as OLIVIA VERO tallied a team-best seven rebounds and three blocks.

NICKIE CARTER became the 22nd person in program history to record 1,000 career points with her layup in the fourth quarter Friday. Carter is the first to hit 1,000 career points since Alex McKinnon did so against NJCU in NJAC Semifinals in 2020.

SCOUTING KING'S 
The Monarchs enter with a 1-2 record, with their lone victory coming against Penn State-Schuykill on November 10. They suffered setbacks to Gwynedd Mercy and Susquehanna, including a 66-47 loss to the River Hawks on Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair is 2-2 against King's, as the two sides have traded wins and losses. King's notched wins in 2005 and 2006, with Montclair State earning victories in 2006 and 2007.

LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks topped King's 66-59 on November 29, 2007. With the score tied at 25 at halftime, the Red Hawks outscored the Monarchs 41-34 over the final 20 minutes to claim the win. Catherine Cristino led the way with points, as Marianne McGovern added 12.
