Women's Basketball: Game Day Preview vs. Vassar

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State women's basketball team hosts Vassar College in their season opener Tuesday.

2021-22 SNAPSHOT
The Red Hawks went 14-10 last season and picked up the No. 3 seed in the NJAC Tournament. NICKIE CARTER was named Second Team All-Met, First Team All-NJAC and was tabbed to the WBCA Division III All-America Team.

SCOUTING VASSAR
The Brewers went 17-8 last season, including a 16-2 mark in the Liberty League. They advanced to the Liberty League Semifinals, where they were topped by St. Lawrence.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair is 5-1 against Vassar, with the Brewers lone win coming on December 8, 2014. The Red Hawks won the previous three games in the late-90's and have picked up wins in the last two games since their 2014 setback.

LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks took down Vassar 67-40 on November 16, 2015. Current Assistant Coach Katie Sire tallied a team-high 17 points, and 11 boards as the Red Hawks forced 20 Vassar turnovers.
