Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State women's basketball team hosts New Jersey City University in New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Wednesday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (8-8, 5-4 NJAC) fell to Kean 58-41 on Saturday afternoon. Montclair led 19-18 after the first quarter but was outscored 40-22 over the final three frames. NICKIE CARTER paced the Red Hawks with 11 points as OLIVIA VERO pulled down a career-best 14 boards.

SCOUTING NEW JERSEY CITY
NJCU sits at 6-8 on the season, including a 6-3 mark in the NJAC. They are riding a four-game winning streak, including a 59-56 buzzer-beating triumph over Stockton on Saturday. Two of their setbacks have come against Division I opponents, while an additional two have been against nationally-ranked Division III foes.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair is 69-7 against NJCU but has lost four of the last five meetings. Three of those setbacks have been by four points or less. Before their setback on February 27, 2021, Montclair State had won 37 consecutive meetings.

LAST MEETING
Montclair fell 68-46 in their previous meeting on November 22, 2022. MSU led 16-9 after the first quarter but got outscored in the final three frames. NICKIE CARTER had a team-best 25 points in the setback.
