LAST TIME OUT
The women's team topped Drew 191-107, as the men's team fell 192-107 on Saturday. The Red Hawks started the afternoon with a win as
SOPHIA SHOPOVICK,
ABBY BROCK,
MADDY WISHNOW, and
ROURKE PERALTA won the 200-medley relay. The foursome turned in a mark of 1:52.12, winning by nearly two seconds. Peralta (2:01.36),
JULIE TIEDEMANN (2:02.6), and
JULIANA SKOPP-CARDILLO (2:06.27) went 1-2-3 in the 200 free, with Shopovick winning the 100-back in 1:01.18.
CATTY GEYER edged Drew's swimmer in the 200-fly, touching the wall in 2:19.88, with Peralta notching her second individual win of the day in the 50-free (24.33). Shopovick matched Peralta as she took her second victory, winning the 200-back in 2:15.85. Geyer (1:03.16), Wishnow (1:04.32), and Panzarella (1:04.58) recorded the top three times in the 100-butterfly, with
MARIANNE TASSINARI registering the final win in the 200-IM as she had a mark of 2:14.95.
AUDREY HITCHENS won both diving sections, scoring 186.75 in the first portion and 140.15 in the second.
LUCAS GOMES gave the men their first triumph of the day as he grabbed first in the 100-back. The junior turned in a time of 53.35 for the victory. In the following race,
SPENSER DUBOIS won in the 100-breast, recording a mark of 57.77. Dubois' time is 10th in the country. Gomes was clipped and settled for second in the 50-free, losing by .39 seconds after finishing in 21.92.
RYAN KAPPES was second in the 200-backstroke (2:00.73), with Dubois picking up a victory in the 200-breast (2:12.05). Dubois won by a mere .52 seconds.
SCOUTING VASSAR
Vassar's women's side is 2-0, knocking off Bard 129-39 and topping Brandeis 166.5-128.5. The Brewers' men's team is 1-1 on the year, topping Bard 106-24 on October 11 and falling to Brandeis 154-129 on October 21.
SERIES HISTORY
The women's team is 2-3 against Vassar, notching wins in 2001 and 2021. The men's team is 19-3 against the Brewers, winning 16 straight meets from 2003 – 2019. Vassar opened the series with victories in 2001 and 2002.
LAST MEETING
The men's team picked up a 149-123 win, while the women's side fell 180.5-109.5 last October. The 200-medley relay team of

SPENSER DUBOIS,
TYLER DORSETT, and
LUCAS GOMES got the team started with a first-place time of 1:38.31 in the opening event. DeLargy also tallied first place in the 100-backstroke (56.02) and the 200-backstroke (2:03.31), as Dubois grabbed first in the 100-breaststroke (59.77). Dorsett also picked up an individual win as he touched the wall in 1:58.77 in the 200-butterfly, with Gomes tallying wins in the 50-freestyle (21.58) and 100-freestyle (48.31).
RYAN KAPPES and
SEAN NUGENT went 1-2 in the 1,000-free, as Kappes turned in a time of 10:14.5. Rookie
ANTHONY FERRARO captured first in the 200-free (1:51.23) before
BRANDON DO capped the individual victories with a time of 2:13.9 in the 200-breaststroke. The foursome of
SOPHIA SHOPOVICK,
ABBY BROCK,
CATTY GEYER, and
ROURKE PERALTA grabbed first in the 200-medley relay, clocking in .13 seconds ahead of their opponent in 1:53.03. Shopovick took second in the 100-back, as she finished in 1:02.03. Brock recorded a victory in the 100-breaststroke (1:10.32), with
LILI SHAY placing third in 1:13.28. Peralta was edged by a mere .01 in the 50-free, taking second in 25.37. The rookie also notched a second-place time in the 100-free, touching the wall in 56.44.
