Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State women's lacrosse team was topped by Marywood University 18-5 Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

With time winding down in the period, Meo netted her second of the game with 10 seconds left, making it 4-3 Montclair.
  • The Pacers broke the game open, tallying the following 12 markers bridging the second and third quarters. SAMANTHA ROTHMAN stopped the run with a goal from SAMANTHA HANDZO, but Marywood finished the game with the last three goals.

FROM THE FIELD
"Not the way we hoped to end non-conference play, but we know exactly what we need to work on, so we will use these next nine days before NJAC starts to dial in. This was a game where possession was key, and unfortunately, that didn't go in our favor. We raised over $725 for Morgan's Message, so a big thank you to all those who purchased a t-shirt or donated." – Assistant Coach Sarah Burkarth.

UP NEXT
The Red Hawks open New Jersey Athletic Conference action on April 8 as they host nationally-ranked TCNJ at noon at Sprague Field.
