FROM THE FIELD
"I knew I was close to 100 hits, but didn't want to know how close. I try not to look at my stats, so I went up to the plate 9 times today not knowing if or when I was going to get my 100th hit. When I got my 9th hit of the day there was a sense of pride in myself just for doing that, but when my teammate told me I reached my 100th hit, it made the day just that much sweeter. Reaching 100 hits was a personal goal I set before the season and achieving that in our opening week felt amazing." ALYSSA BOROZAN on reaching 100 career hits.

"ALYSSA BOROZAN put on a hitting clinic today. Collecting 9 hits in two games to climb to 100 career hits at Montclair State University was an incredible achievement. Alyssa has worked very hard through the years on her hitting technique. At Montclair State, we tried to emphasize pitch recognition and patience. Today was truly something special to witness." Head Coach Anita Kubicka.
