Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State outdoor track & field teams will compete at a pair of meets on Saturday.

One contingent of Red Hawk student-athletes will head to West Chester, Pa., for Bill Butler Invitational at 9 am, as another group will go to Middlesex College for MC Invitational at 10:45 am.
MEN'S RECAP (Danny Curran Invitational)
JOHN GRIFFITH posted another strong showing for the team, winning the discus with a throw of 47.02m. The junior also grabbed third in the shot put, throwing 15.39m. Na'Im Kinsey took fourth in the shot (13.95m) as
NICK BOFFA was fifth in the discus (38.44m). Teammates
KEYSHAWN DIXON and
ANTHONY HOLMES tied for third in the high jump, hitting a height of 1.71m.
MYLES DAY was fourth in the long jump (6.18m) as he edged Dixon (6.15m). Samael Mileovix placed fourth in the 400 (53.4), and
JALEN RIDGEWAY was fourth in the 800 (2:02.62).
DEREK PEZO grabbed seventh in the 400-hurdles, clocking in at 1:01.46. Griffith set a PR in the hammer throw, reaching 50m.
MATTHEW HAILU,
JOSEPH KOOMSON, and Hiroki Tsutumi also threw in the hammer event, but distances were unavailable at press time.
OWEN FOGARTY took second in the pole vault and was the highest Division III competitor, reaching 4.45m.
BECK DEENY placed sixth in the triple jump, notching a personal-best 13.09m, as
NICK BOFFA was sixth (47.71m) and JP Clark ninth (43.26m) in the javelin.

MICHELLE ITOUA won the 200-meter (26.93) and finished sixth in the 100 (13.09) as
SIDNEY WHETSTONE was ninth in the 200 (28.39).
JEALYNE RAMOS was second in the 400, as she finished in 1:02.13 as Odalys Guerrero-Dominguez was fifth in 1:03.31. Whetstone took third in the long jump with a distance of 5.12m, with
MIA PEGUERO placing ninth in 4.7m.
BRIANNA RODDY placed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase as she finished in 13:00.94.
MIA PEGUERO nabbed 12th in the triple jump (10.2m) as
JESSICA HOLLER was 15th (9.29m). Holler took 17th in the javelin (22.53m) as teammate
EVE ROSADO was 20th (20.31m).
TARA MASTROIANNI reached 28.51m in the hammer throw to cap off the day for Montclair.
