Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State women's lacrosse team was bested by Stockton University in New Jersey Athletic Conference action Friday evening.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Despite allowing four first-period goals, JOEY GROTKOPF kept the Red Hawks in the game by making five saves, including several from in close. The Ospreys extended the lead in the second quarter, tallying five goals.
• Montclair State broke through for their first goal of the afternoon with 1:45 left in the second quarter, as ERIN MEO linked up with CHELSEA STACK.
• MARGIE QUINTANA and SAMANTHA HANDZO netted second-half markers for the Red Hawks, but they could not get any closer than 11 the rest of the way. Stockton outscored Montclair State 5-1 in the fourth to close the victory.

• D'Angelo tallied a team-high five draw controls.
• Grotkopf denied five shots in the first half, as LEA HEGEWALD made one save in the second.
