Mike Palazzo notched his first career victory as the Red Hawks outgained Gettysburg 167-67 on the ground.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Red Hawks punted on their first two possessions, and the Bullets tallied the game's first points on their second trip down the field. After a 12-play, 71-yard drive stalled, the hosts converted a 30-yard field goal for the game's first points.
  • Montclair responded with a touchdown drive, as on the first play, Sanborn hit JAMIE HAMILTON for 39 yards. Four plays later, Sanborn punched it in with a four-yard run, and ROGER RUBINETTI hit the extra point.
  • After exchanging punts, the Red Hawks added seven more points midway through the second stanza. Taking over at the GC 38, Montclair needed four plays as Sanborn connected with ANTHONY ROIGE for a 14-yard touchdown.
  • At the end of the first half, the Bullets got to within four as a 13-play, 75-yard drive that ate up 7:49 was finished with a 16-yard touchdown pass.
  • On the opening drive of the third, UMAR DAVIS rifled through the line and blocked a punt, giving Montclair the ball at the Gettysburg 5. Sanborn plunged in from five yards out, stretching the margin to 10.
  • The Red Hawks forced their third fumble of the day as MOHAMMAD ABEDRABO fell on a loose ball at midfield. They could not capitalize, and after a punt, Gettysburg closed to seven on a touchdown.
  • Montclair responded in a big way, with HENRY LEWIS taking a handoff and racing 66 yards for the score on the first play. Staked to a two-score lead, the Red Hawks again found the endzone, marching 85 yards in 11 plays. A two-yard score from ABELLANY MENDEZ capped off the drive.
  • The Bullets scored with 5:31 remaining, the Red Hawk defense clamped down and, on the hosts' final possession, held them without a point despite facing a 1st-and-goal from the two.
