Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University women's basketball team returns home to face Rutgers-Camden on Saturday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (6-11, 3-7 NJAC) fell to NJCU 71-56 on Wednesday, January 17. Montclair went into the halftime break with six of the last nine points, and scored the first seven of the second half to come within one of the Gothic Knights. NJCU responded with a 17-point run to build their lead, which they did not relinquish the rest of the way. ISABELLA ORLANDO led the Red Hawks with 13 points on 50 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

SCOUTING RUTGERS-CAMDEN
The Scarlet Raptors enter Saturday's contest winless so far during the 2023-24 campaign, looking to snap an 18-game losing streak dating back to last season. They fell to TCNJ in their most recent contest, 87-53, on Wednesday, January 17. Rahzirah Blocker led all scorers with 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair holds a 51-17 all-time record against Rutgers-Camden and has won the last eight meetings against the Scarlet Raptors. During that stretch, the Red Hawks have won by an average of 25 points per contest. Montclair has claimed the last four meetings at the Panzer Athletic Center, with the most recent Rutgers-Camden victory coming on February 13, 2019. 

LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks took down the Scarlet Raptors 62-50 on December 2, 2023, behind 13 points from ISABELLA ORLANDO. Montclair built a double-digit advantage in the second quarter, and grew it to as high as 19 late in the third quarter, Rutgers-Camden made a push late, cutting the deficit to 10 with under a minute remaining, but the Red Hawks held on for their second victory in conference play. TERESA WOLAK notched nine points, four assists, and three rebounds off the bench.
