LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (8-12, 5-8 NJAC) fell to TCNJ 68-55 on Saturday afternoon at the Panzer Athletic Center. After trailing by 13 at the half, Montclair scored five of the first eight points in the third quarter. TCNJ used back-to-back three-point shots late in the frame to open a 16-point lead. The Red Hawks were able to cut the deficit to single digits multiple times in the fourth quarter, but TCNJ held off the late run to seal the victory. OLIVIA VERO led Montclair with 15 points, and TERESA WOLAK finished with 12 to go along with 10 boards.

SCOUTING WILLIAM PATERSON
The Pioneers enter Wednesday night's contest with a record of 6-14, and a 2-7 mark in conference play. They earned their first NJAC victory on Saturday, January 13 against Rutgers-Camden, 77-71. In their most recent game, they took down conference-leading Stockton 75-67 on Saturday, January 27. Brianna Smith and Renee Wells led all scorers with 20 points each. 

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair leads the all-time series against William Paterson 60-38, but the Pioneers have claimed three of the last five contests between the two sides. Prior to that stretch, the Red Hawks won 20 of 21 against William Paterson, including 16-straight. Montclair is 3-2 over its last five games in Wayne, with the Pioneers claiming the most recent matchup on December 7, 2022, 60-49.

LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks edged William Paterson 82-77 in a double overtime thriller on December 6, 2023. After the Pioneers took the lead late in the fourth quarter, Montclair sent the game to overtime on a layup from TERESA WOLAK. In overtime, Wolak connected on a layup with .6 left to give the Red Hawks the lead. The Pioneers converted two free throws on a foul off the inbound to send the game to a second overtime. Montclair opened a two-possession lead in the following frame to seal the victory.
