Women's Lacrosse Topples Farmingdale State 15-8

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State Women's Lacrosse Team downed Farmingdale State 15-8 Wednesday night.
  
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Montclair went up on the Rams 6-0 in the first period. KAELEY SEK was the first scorer for the Red Hawk 40 seconds into the game.
  • NORAH MONAGHAN and CHELSEA STACK scored back to back goals to put the Red Hawks up 3-0 halfway through the first period. 
  • The Red Hawks would then score nine more times to put them up 11-1.
  • The Rams only scored once in the half in the fourth minute of the second period. 
  • Despite only scoring twice in the third quarter, Sek and SAMANTHA HANDZO, the Red Hawks held on to their 10 digit lead going into the final period. 
  • The Red Hawks scored twice more in the fourth, LAUREN ERNST and AMRA LUKOVIC. 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Stack and LEXI ROBINSON both had hat tricks at the half. 
  • LAUREN ERNST scored her first ever collegiate lacrosse goal. She now has two goals on two different teams at Montclair, the other being women's soccer.
  • JOEY GROTKOPF tallied 20 saves, her season high.
