Women's Lacrosse Wrangles The Cougars Wednesday Afternoon

Dallas, PA– The Montclair State Women's Lacrosse Team outlasted Misericordia in an away matchup Wednesday afternoon 18-9.
  
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The score was tied at the end of the first quarter 2-2. Both Red Hawk goals were scored by CHELSEA STACK
  • KAELEY SEK scored her first goal of the night 57 seconds into the second. The Red Hawks would go up 7-4 on the cougars by halftime thanks to goals from LEXI ROBINSON, NORAH MONAGHAN, Sek, and Stack.
  • Misericordia scored two goals right out of halftime decreasing their lead to only one. A Robinson goal off an assist from Stack ended the cougars run. 
  • The Red Hawks ended the third quarter up 12-7. The cougars would only score twice more in the first two minutes in the fourth. 
  • Montclair put it away in the scoring six more times. A ground ball by DANIELLE DE JESUS allowed Robinson to score the first goal of the quarter for the Red Hawks, Stack scored less than a minute after.
  • The Red Hawks kept the comfortable lead throughout the rest of the game and ended the day up 18-9.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Sek and Robinson both netted six goals, the most from either team. Stack held the second highest scoring record of the day with four.
  • Sek and De Jesus caused three turnovers and the latter picked up four ground balls, the most from either team as well.
