Ewing, NJ– The Montclair State Women's Lacrosse Team were topped by #9 ranked The College of New Jersey Saturday Afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Red Hawks ended a 6-0 scoring run for the Lions with three minutes left in the first quarter. AMRA LUKOVIC put the Red Hawks on the board from an assist by CHELSEA STACK. The Red Hawks trailed 8-1 going into the second quarter. 
• The second goal for Montclair came from NORAH MONAGHAN in the tenth minute of the second quarter. A minute and a half later KAELEY SEK put one past the Lions to lessen the Red Hawks deficit to seven. 
• Lukovic scored her second goal of the game in the fifth minute of the third. That would be the Red Hawk's only goal that quarter as they entered the last 15 minutes of play down 17-4. 
• Monaghan was the first scorer for both teams in the fourth as she put one in the net after a save by JOEY GROTKOPF twenty seconds earlier. 
• Lokovic tallied a hat trick after her third goal of the game came in the fourth minute of the last quarter. That would be the last score of the game for the Red Hawks as they were topped by The Lions 18-6.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• DANIELLE DE JESUS and OLIVIA DALLY led the Red Hawks with four ground balls a piece. 
• SHAINA SWEEZY pitched on the defensive end tallying two caused turnovers against The Lions.
• Grotkopf led both goalies with 11 saves.
