Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University women's soccer (10-0-5, 5-0-2 NJAC) honored its nine seniors and graduate students for senior night on Wednesday and took a 3-0 conference win against Ramapo (5-8-2, 1-6-0 NJAC), 3-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
· The Red Hawks went on the attack early with two shots in the first two minutes that both missed the mark. After a few corner kick attempts, SAMIRA LUKOVIC pushed a ball into the left side of the penalty box for KYLIE PRENDERGAST, who fired the ball off her right foot into the goal in the 13th minute for a 1-0 lead.
· At the 24:40 mark, Montclair was awarded a penalty kick. MACKENZIE ALBERT lined up for it, but a brilliant save by the Ramapo goalkeeper kept it a one-score game. Except for a Red Hawk corner kick in the 27th minute, most of the rest of the half was played in the midfield, and the game went 1-0 into the intermission.
· The Red Hawks wasted no time getting on the board again in the second half. Just thirty seconds into the second frame, Albert played a ball off a Roadrunner defender at the top of the penalty box and rocketed a shot that went bar down into the goal to extend the lead to 2-0.
· In the 54th minute of the match, CARLY GUZZARDO displayed exceptional dribbling when she weaved her way through multiple Ramapo defenders and touched a crosser to Prendergast, who tapped in her second goal of the game to push the lead to 3-0.
· Ramapo's only real attacks in the second half came in the 81st minute. They had a breakaway opportunity and a one-on-one with SALANGE BELL, but Bell beat the Ramapo attacker to the spot. She saw another attempt 40 seconds later and stonewalled another shot and was able to preserve her shutout as the Red Hawks ran out the rest of the clock for the home win.

· Montclair still remains unbeaten on the season. It's their longest unbeaten streak since 2014, when the team went unbeaten through 21 matches.
