Montclair, NJ – The #18 Montclair State University men's soccer team will honor its five seniors before facing off in an all-important NJAC matchup with Stockton on Saturday.

Montclair came away with an emphatic 5-1 win on the road on Wednesday at Ramapo. The Red Hawks received an early save from

SEBASTIAN LAPCZYNSKI notched a shot attempt nine minutes later, with Ramapo hitting the woodwork four minutes later. Soumeillant tallied a save shortly after, but the Roadrunners found the back of the net on another attempt right after to cut the deficit in half going into the break. Following a foul in the box in the 54th minute, Lapczynski stepped up and slotted in a penalty kick attempt to push the margin back to two. Montclair continued to apply pressure offensively, as Contreras connected with Monteiro for another goal in the 62nd minute to make the score 4-1. Contreras rattled two shot attempts on goal over the next eight minutes, but both were collected by the home side. In the 70th minute, the Red Hawks struck for their final marker of the night as
JACKSON PERATA fed a pass to
DANNY TOBON, who found the back of the net. Montclair allowed just three shots the remainder of the way, with Soumeillant notching one final stop to help seal the road victory.

SCOUTING STOCKTON
The Ospreys enter this match tied with Montclair at the top of the conference with a 5-1-1 NJAC record and a 10-4-3 overall record. They are coming off a 2-0 win against Rutgers-Newark on Wednesday night. In 2024, Stockton went 9-6-6 overall and 4-2-3 in NJAC play and qualified for the conference tournament. They defeated Kean, 2-1 in overtime and stunned Montclair, 2-1 to make it to the NJAC Finals, where they ultimately fell, 3-1 to Rowan. According to the 2025 NJAC Preseason Poll, the Ospreys are slated to finish third this season.
