Montclair, NJ- The Montclair State University women's swimming and diving team welcomes Vassar for a Halloween dual meet on Friday

LAST TIME OUT

Montclair split its tri-meet this past Saturday, defeating East Stroudsburg, 141-120, but was bested by Kutztown, 138-123. Leading the way individually was ROURKE PERALTA, who nabbed two wins in the 50 free (24.20) and 100 free (54.16). MARIANNE TASSINARI saw first and second-place finishes in the meet. She outswam the competition in the 200 breast (2:30.96) and placed second in the 200 IM (2:13.90). ABBY PANZARELLA and TESSA DEVONE won individual events. Panzarella touched the wall first in the 200 back (2:16.99) and added a third-place finish in the 100 back (1:02.92). Devone was the victor of the 100 back by a time of 1:02.24. CATTY GEYER and MADELINE ROGERS both placed second in different butterfly events. Geyer finished second in the 200 fly (2:20.84), while Rogers touched the wall second in the 100 fly (1:01.84). Rounding out the top-three individual placements were Marianne Laynez, KACIE GADZINSKI, and LILY CONLON. Laynez placed third in the 200 back (2:17.79), Gadzinski notched third in the 200 fly (2:21.61), and Conlon finished third in the 1000 free (11:26.78). In relays, the top finish in the 200 medley relay came from the quartet of Devone, Ana Venla Saguillo-Leppanen, Rogers, and Peralta, who placed second with a team time of 1:54.17. The top finish in the 400-free relay came from the team of MADDY WISHNOW, Rogers, Geyer, and Tassinari placed fourth with a time of 3:49.54.
