Pitman, NJ- The Montclair State University field hockey team saw three of its student-athletes collect All-NJAC honors this season as announced by the New Jersey Athletic Conference office on Friday.
SADIE EICHLIN led the way with a First Team selection, while
NATALIE SURMA and
ANNA DONALDSON both received Honorable Mention honors.
Eichlin receives her second-straight First Team All-NJAC honor to wrap up her collegiate career. She started all 17 games this season, recorded five goals for 10 points, and was a perfect 3-for-3 on penalty strokes this season. All of Sadie's goals were spread across five contests, with one of her goals coming during conference play, where she fired in a penalty stroke to help Montclair win 5-1 against Ramapo.
Surma earns her first All-NJAC selection with her Honorable Mention selection. She started all 17 games this season and totaled a team-leading 12 points on five goals and two assists. Four of her five goals came during conference play and included a pair of two-goal games in wins against William Paterson and Ramapo. Natalie was also responsible for three game-winning goals, including a game-winner against a nationally-ranked Cortland team at the beginning of the season.
Donaldson earned Honorable Mention accolades for the second year in a row. She played a pivotal role on the Montclair State backline. She also ended the season with three points on a goal and an assist. Her goal during a 3-0 win against SUNY New Paltz, was the first of her career.
Montclair finished the season with a 5-12 overall record and a 2-3 record in the NJAC.
